A five minute check on the official registers, and the warning signs that a logo on a van is not enough.
We looked at more than 50 bathroom fitters and showrooms working in Glasgow, checked 24 of them in depth across Google, Checkatrade, the Trusted Trader scheme, TrustATrader, company websites and Companies House, and ranked the best ten. Nobody paid to be here.

Textile House, Duke Street, Paisley · Covers Glasgow and Renfrewshire
8.4out of 10
The longest established bathroom firm we found, and our top scorer. G. Woods says it has traded since 1965, the current company has been registered since 2000, and it has been a Trading Standards Trusted Trader since 2013, with 4.9 out of 5 from 175 reviews. It designs and fits bathrooms and kitchens and does its own plumbing and heating, and it lists a Gas Safe number on its Trusted Trader profile and says it is SNIPEF registered.

8.1out of 10
The biggest review count we found for any firm fitting bathrooms in Glasgow: 9.92 out of 10 from 953 Checkatrade reviews, 268 of them in the last year. The family-run firm describes itself as a home improvement contractor specialising in bathrooms, and it handles the plumbing in-house. Those reviews cover all of its work, including plumbing, with 50 from bathroom jobs. It also appears in our plumbers table.
Glasgow · Covers Glasgow and the south side
8.0out of 10
A perfect 10 out of 10 from 193 Checkatrade reviews, built up over 13 years on the platform, the longest track record on our shortlist. Colin Stewart's firm designs and fits bathrooms and wet rooms, and it is also vetted by TrustATrader, which verified its insurance in November 2025. It loses a little ground on review volume and recent activity, with 11 reviews in the last year.
Woodhead Road, Nitshill · Showrooms in Glasgow and Kilmarnock
7.8out of 10
Strong on volume across two platforms: 4.6 from 324 Google reviews and 9.6 out of 10 from 142 Checkatrade reviews, 110 of those in the last year. The company has traded since 2013, which Companies House confirms, and it fits bathrooms, windows and doors from two showrooms. The lower Google average keeps it out of the top two.
Ainslie Road, Hillington Park, Glasgow G52
7.4out of 10
A home improvement group that manages bathrooms, kitchens and gas work under one roof, rated 4.9 out of 5 from 148 Trusted Trader reviews. It lists a Gas Safe number on its profile. It has been a Trusted Trader since 2022 and the company was incorporated in 2020, so its track record is shorter than the firms above.

7.4out of 10
A multi-trade team with its own plumbers, joiners and tilers, rated 9.86 out of 10 from 91 Checkatrade reviews and 4.9 from 37 on Google. It has been on Checkatrade for ten years and offers fixed-price quotes with staged payments. Its website says it is accredited but does not name a scheme, so it scores the standard vetting mark.
Newton Place, Glasgow G3 · Covers Central Scotland
6.9out of 10
A design-led bathroom company rated 9.8 out of 10 from 92 Checkatrade reviews and 4.9 from 52 on Google. It offers free 3D designs, uses its own staff rather than subcontractors, and backs manufacturer warranties with a two-year workmanship guarantee. The company was incorporated in 2021.
Clarkston · Covers the Southside and Glasgow
6.6out of 10
A perfect 5.0 out of 5 from 87 Trusted Trader reviews, with new reviews still coming in this autumn. The Southside firm focuses on fitted bathrooms and kitchens. It has been a Trusted Trader since 2020; we did not find a registered company to confirm a longer history.
Academy Business Park, Gower Street, Glasgow G51
6.3out of 10
A showroom and fitting company with 4.8 from 98 Google reviews and more than ten years of trading confirmed by Companies House. Its website says its fitters have over 70 years of experience between them and that each fitting team, who work as subcontractors, gives a one-year warranty. We found no independent vetting, which holds its score back.
Paisley · Covers Glasgow and Renfrewshire
6.2out of 10
A perfect 5.0 from 49 Google reviews. CDM does the plumbing, tiling and fitting with its own team rather than subcontractors, and says it is Gas Safe registered for any boiler or heating changes. We did not confirm that on the register, so it scores less than a confirmed listing would.
Good firms that missed out on this edition
We built a long list from Google Maps, the Checkatrade Glasgow bathroom fitter search and the Trusted Trader bathroom categories, then checked 24 firms in depth on their review platforms, their own websites and Companies House. Each got a score out of ten from the checks on the right. The table is that score, highest first.
We ranked firms that design and fit bathrooms, or supply and fit them. Showrooms that only sell, merchants, and general builders whose main business is not bathrooms were left out.
There is no licensing scheme for bathroom fitters in the UK. Our second check rewards independent vetting, a named trade registration and a second vetting scheme. Responsiveness has not been tested yet; scores are based on the other three checks, scaled to ten.
Volume and average rating on the main platform, plus credit for strong reviews on a second platform.
Independent vetting such as Checkatrade, Trusted Trader or TrustATrader, plus credit for a named registration such as Gas Safe or SNIPEF and for a second vetting scheme.
Years trading, backed by Companies House or a membership date. Website claims count for less.
A bathroom refit brings plumbing, electrics, tiling and joinery into one small room. Most problems come from unclear quotes and from trades nobody planned for.
Checkatrade's Glasgow figures put a bathroom fitting job at £2,526 to £5,470, with an average of £3,704. Supply and fit averages £5,430, and a wet room averages £7,159. High-end tiles, moving the toilet or replacing rotten floorboards will push the price up.
Ask who will do the plumbing, the electrics and the tiling, and whether they are employees or subcontractors. Electrical work near a bath or shower should be done and certified by a registered electrician, and any boiler or gas work needs a Gas Safe registered engineer.
In a tenement, a leak goes straight into the flat below. Ask how the fitter will waterproof the shower area and the floor, and what they will do if they find rotten joists or old lead pipes once the floor is up.
In our 2026 table, G. Woods Bathrooms & Kitchens in Paisley comes top with 8.4 out of 10: 4.9 from 175 Trusted Trader reviews, a Gas Safe number on its profile and more than 25 years as a registered company. RSPS and Osprey Kitchens & Bathrooms are close behind.
Checkatrade's Glasgow figures put bathroom fitting at £2,526 to £5,470, averaging £3,704, and supply and fit at £3,659 to £8,030, averaging £5,430. Wet rooms average £7,159.
RSPS is a plumbing and bathroom company, so it does both jobs. Its Checkatrade reviews cover all of its work, including 50 from bathroom jobs.
No. There is no licensing scheme for bathroom fitters. The plumbing, electrics and any gas work are what matter, so ask who will do each part and check their registration.
No. Nobody can pay for a place in our tables. Scores come only from the checks described on this page.
